Designed by Richard Stampton Architects, this showroom for Australian fine jeweller Cushla Whiting in Melbourne delves far deeper than a conventional retail experience.

The crisp, radiant space is dotted with granite boulders that “float” at eye height, a material reference to the formative process of the jewels displayed upon them. Clear tubular cases placed over the boulders lend an ethereal quality to the showroom. These cases are raised and lowered using a counter-weighted pulley system to access the bespoke jewellery within.
